How do i add pics? Im so not a tech guy

Just the other day i wondered how to post pictures on my site and i downloaded this program called ummm...some picasawadda? Nevermind the name. Anyway, it was no help because, i don't even know how it works! Man! So guys im appealing for help. If you have any tips or help plz plz plz tell me. Im desperate. Those two words summed it up real good.
